Breakbeat Paradise Recording is ready to kick off a new year with the fourth installment of the epic Toxic Funk – 7" donut series. For this 45 we called upon 2 of the very best producers of funky breaks – The Breakbeat Junkie and DJP aka Second Hand Audio. With a long tradition in the scene which dates all the way back to the Nu Funk era the producer team has dropped tunes on the Ghetto Funk label as well as pretty much all other labels in the funky breaks universe. We thrilled to have them back with 2 timeless slices of breakbeat funk at its very finest.

Following up on BadboE and Prospers Vol. 3 in the series you are in store for some skillful sampling techniques, some classic funky breaks and a perfect doze of hip hop accapellas.
Starting off with a catchy groovy take on the classic Express Yourself with some well picked samples and funky breaks to go with it on the Dance to the Beat A-Side track. On the flip side we bringing out the big grooves and boom bap beats to glide gently with some soulful vocals and some fine rhyming on the Treacherous Love joint.

As the electronic funk scene changes and adapts some things remain best untouched – and the Second Hand Audio is a perfect example of that. The sample-based beats and grooves is here to stay and the sound of the oldskool is still as fresh as it comes…
